Salt Lake County Emergency Management–
Darin Ross began his fire career as a volunteer firefighter with Midvale Fire Department in 1996. He then transitioned to a career firefighter in January 1998. He left Midvale Fire Department and came to Unified Fire Authority in January 2007. He attended Paramedic school in January 2000. Darin has an Associates Degree from Utah Valley University in fire science and is currently pursing a bachelor’s degree in Emergency management. Darin's past experience includes: Swat medic, Hazmat technician, Heavy rescue technician, Paramedic, and Firefighter. He is the Communications manager for Utah Task force 1, and has worked as a rescue specialist, hazmat specialist, and Communications specialist for the USAR team. Darin has been deployed with the USAR team to the boulder floods, and to Hurricane Harvey in Texas.
